Here at the Avian and Exotic Group at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital, we recognize the special requirements in caring for a wide array of companion exotic animals.

We offer separate exotic wards with environmental controls, oxygen ready caging and reverse airflow to minimize any chance of cross-contamination. We offer compassionate individualized nursing care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our well-trained support staff has over 140 years of combined experience.

Our surgical team is available for a diverse range of procedures including; small mammal incisor and molar maintenance; intubated small mammal castrations and ovariohysterectomies; cystotomies; and other soft tissue surgeries.

Dr. Doolen, our Group Director, is available for advanced procedures such as rabbit gastrotomies, and exotic orthopedic surgeries.
