The Pet Hotel at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital
Vaccinations and Physical Exam
All pets must have been examined by a Doctor at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital with in 6 months of their reservation. All pets must be up to date with vaccinations: DHPP, Rabies & Bordatella (dogs); FVRCP & Rabies (cats). If not immunized at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital, proof of vaccination must be shown. If proof is not obtainable, the vaccine(s) will be given upon your pet’s arrival. This is to protect your pet as well as others. There are no exceptions.
Drop-off and Pick-up Times
Monday through Friday the drop-off time is after 2pm and the pick-up time is before 1pm. On Saturday and Sunday the drop-off time is after 12:30pm and the pick-up time is before 11:30am. We do offer an early drop-off or late pick-up for $15 each.
In order to secure your reservation, we require a $10 per night (per pet) deposit to be taken. If a deposit is not left, the reservation will not be booked. This deposit will remain as a credit on your account until your pet is discharged from his/her stay. This deposit is refundable ONLY IF YOU CANCEL AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE BOARDING DATE. Any cancelation within 48 hours of the boarding date will result in the loss of the entire deposit. If a reservation is made within 48 hours of the boarding date that deposit is non-refundable.
All pets are checked for fleas on admission to the hospital/kennel. If fleas are found, your pet will be treated with Parastar and Capstar Oral Flea Treatment (at the owner’s expense). This will make your pet more comfortable during its visit and will maintain our hospital as a flea-free area.
Any pet that becomes soiled while boarding will be bathed at our discretion and at the owner’s expense. Soiled animals are uncomfortable and create an unpleasant odor in the kennel.
We discourage leaving items such as toys, blankets, bedding or treats during your pet’s stay as these items can be lost during routine cleaning and maintenance. Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY ITEMS that are left with your pet.
If your pet becomes ill or injures itself while lodging, all medical and surgical treatments will be performed to ensure the health and well being of your pet. Every effort will be made to contact you in the event of an emergency. All medical and surgical services are performed at the owner’s expense.
Pets will only be discharged to their owner. If your pet is to be picked up by someone other than yourself, written permission must be received when dropping your pet off. Pets cannot be discharged from the hospital when the office is closed, to ensure the safety of our staff, your pet and for insurance purposes there will be no exceptions.
