Pet daycare.

Modern dogs often face long periods of time indoors without attention, activity, or stimulation. Their owners work and travel more, busy family activities take priority, and dogs are sometimes left to their own devices. Loneliness, boredom, and fear of abandonment create stressful behavioral problems that affect us all. Pet daycare is a great option to help with these issues, and has the potential to be a game-changer for many families.

Is It Time?

If you’ve ever wondered if pet daycare might be worthwhile, consider your pet’s behavior. Do they exhibit signs of separation anxiety, such as destructive behavior, pacing, crying/barking, or house soiling? If you’ve ruled out medical conditions that could explain these symptoms, chances are your pet could need a little help.

A Fine Balance

Young pets and high energy breeds require consistent, vigorous exercise opportunities, and many owners simply struggle with the balance. That’s okay! Pet daycare can provide non-stop chances for stimulation, exercise, and socialization. The best part is that when you arrive to take them home after a long day, they are ready to relax and spend time with their favorite person/people.

Details and Results

Pet daycare is there for you when you need it the most. It could be every day while you’re at work, when you have a guest coming over, during a party or event, or when your pet simply demonstrates they have a lot of energy to burn. It is also an add-on service for boarding guests

At Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital, you can choose between half (up to six hours) or full-day (over six hours) pet daycare. Save $50 by purchasing a package of 10 visits, your pet will thank you!

What to Expect

Your pet will be exposed to many new pets and people during their time with us, increasing their social skills, confidence, and trust. We take their emotions seriously and work hard to provide a meaningful, positive experience for every guest.

They will have loads of free frloicking time with their buddies, organized play, training/skill building, snacks and treats, nap time, and one-on-one attention from our staff. When owners arrive, they are usually pleasantly surprised to see their pet’s great behavior and demeanor.

Pet Daycare and More

We believe that a pet daycare under the same roof as your veterinarian is a valuable feature. If your pet ever gets ill or injured during their time at our pet daycare, we can intervene immediately. Being able to see and treat guests in the daycare offers peace of mind to pet owners concerned for their best friend’s health and wellness.
