Dr. Kristen Sequeira, a native of Ocean Township, New Jersey, discovered her passion for veterinary medicine at a young age and pursued it steadfastly. She attended the Academy of Allied Health and Sciences in Neptune, NJ, while gaining early experience as a technician at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Sequeira furthered her education with undergraduate studies in Animal Sciences/Pre-Veterinary at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she continued to work at Oakhurst Vet during holiday breaks. She remained at Purdue to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine, concurrently completing a dual-degree Masters of Public Health.

Dr. Sequeira joined the Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2023. She is delighted to be serving her community once again. Dr. Sequeira’s areas of interest include preventative care, puppy/kitten exams, senior care, dermatology and ophthalmology.

After eight years in Indiana, Dr. Sequeira and her fiancé Ryan are happy to be back at their beloved Jersey Shore. They share their home with a wirehair dachshund named Luigi.
