Meet Christopher Campbell, DVM

Christopher Campbell, DVM  <br />

Dr. Campbell was born in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. When he was young his family moved to West Nyack, New York. Growing up Dr. Campbell had a menagerie of pets including Golden Retrievers, Guinea Pigs, and what he describes as the best cat ever-Maximillian Archibald. Being surrounded by pets from a young age he developed a love of animals that inspired him to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Campbell completed his undergraduate studies at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New York. His passion for Veterinary Medicine led him to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts, where he received his degree in 1996.

After graduating from Ross University Dr. Campbell went on to work at a clinic in Middletown, NY. In 1997 Dr. Campbell joined Valley College Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian and later went on to become a partner. In June of 2007 Dr. Campbell joined the team at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. His special interests are in the areas of ultrasonography, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Campbell attends conferences all over the country on these topics to ensure that his clients receive the most current and top of the line care for their pets.

Outside of the practice Dr. Campbell can be found spending time with his three children Aidan, Cameron and Mackenzie. He also enjoys traveling, sharing good food and great wine with his significant other, Danielle aka Dr. Rawlins. He splits his time between Middletown and Asbury Park. His Middletown pets include Kazi (an Akita) Porter (Brussels Griffon) and Sam, Emily, Princess and Junior (cats). His Asbury pets include Jack Henry (mixed breed rescue from Tennessee) and Atari and Stormin Norman (cats). Dr. Campbell is an accomplished Triathlete. He has successfully completed multiple full Iron Man races. Any extra time he can find in his busy schedule is spent training- swim, bike, run repeat!
