Overnight Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technicians are a vital part of Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our amazing technician team! We are currently hiring both full and part time overnight technicians. We offer a competitive salary plus overnight pay differential. Generous benefit packages are available for full time staff members. Experience in the veterinary field is required. Our Veterinary Technicians work both independently and side by side with our doctors. Technicians must have excellent communication and customer service skills. We utilize electronic medical records, so computer skills are a must. Experience with Impromed Infinity preferred but not required.
Overnight technicians are responsible for monitoring and documenting all patients and animal activity in the hospital (including kennel area) and completing treatments on hospital patients at scheduled times. Must be capable of handling critical patients in an emergency situation and relaying information to the doctor on-call. Must have experience using oxygen/anesthesia machines and various monitoring equipment. Overnight technicians are expected to maintain a clean work environment and participate in facility maintenance (routine cleaning, etc.) during their shift.

Client Service Representative
Client Service Representatives (CSR) provide the first and the last impression of each client’s visit to our hospital. CSRs are responsible for client care and communication.
Our customer service representatives work together to greet pet owners, check-in and admit pets to the hospital, prepare medical records, receive and post payments, submit Trupanion claims, schedule and confirm appointments, respond to owner inquiries, process referrals, interact with referring veterinarians, staff doctors, specialists and technicians and perform various other tasks that include: Maintaining a professional, cheerful and helpful attitude when interacting with clients. Answering incoming telephone calls using proper telephone etiquette as defined by Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. Welcome clients and patients to the hospital, check in patients using the process designed by Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. Monitor the length of time clients are waiting, and appropriately handle these situations. Schedule appointments and surgical procedures for a busy 10 doctor practice. Accurately process payments which includes, cash, credit cards, checks and Care Credit.
Experienced Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technicians are a vital part of Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. Technicians are responsible for patient care and assisting the doctors in providing outstanding medical care to our patients. Experience in the veterinary field is preferred. Our Veterinary Technicians work both independently and side by side with our doctors. Technicians must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Our Veterinary Technicians perform various roles such as Exam Room Technician, Treatment Room Technician, and Surgery Technician. Technician responsibilities include obtaining history from clients, assisting in exam rooms, client education, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, SQ/IV/IM injections, obtaining digital radiographs, performing treatments as directed by the doctors, preparing samples to be sent to outside laboratories, and performing in-house bloodwork. Technicians also prepare patients for surgery, intubate, monitor anesthesia, perform dental cleanings and obtain digital dental radiographs.
