Dr. Dana Galvin grew up in Ocean Township, NJ, where her love for animals began early. She attended the Monmouth County Academy of Allied Health & Science to pursue her passion for medicine and started working here at the Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital in the Pet Hotel at just 16 years old. Dr. Galvin earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Medicine from Clemson University, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Galvin is especially excited to focus on surgery, wellness exams, arthritis and pain management, and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Dr. Galvin now lives in Monmouth Beach with her yellow Labrador, Levi, whom she adopted during her first week of vet school. Outside the clinic, she enjoys kayaking and spending her summers on the beach
