Dr. Thomasey, a native of Ocean Township, NJ, developed a passion for veterinary medicine early in life. His journey began with his first dog, a black lab, which sparked his interest in biology and solidified his career path as a veterinarian. During college, he gained hands-on experience as a technician at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital, where he gained invaluable insights into the daily life of a veterinarian.

He holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City. In 2015, Dr. Thomasey earned his D.V.M. degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Following graduation, he returned to Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian. His practice interests include preventative medicine, dentistry and surgery. Dr. Thomasey looks forward to meeting the dedicated clients of Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital and caring for their beloved pets each day.

Outside of work, Dr. Thomasey enjoys cooking, traveling, and running. He lives in Neptune with his husband and their senior black lab.
