Elsa Schock

Dr. Elsa Jean Schock grew up in Sparta, New Jersey, where she developed a passion for animals from a young age.

Dr. Schock earned her B.S. in Animal Science from Cook College, Rutgers University in 2002. She continued her education at Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2006. It was during a veterinary school field trip that she met her husband, Zach, who was a veterinary student from Tufts.

After completing a rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, Dr. Schock joined Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital in 2007 as an associate veterinarian. Here, she has been able to pursue her interests in canine and feline medicine, surgery, and dentistry, while also providing empathy and compassion to the families who entrust OVH with their pets.

Elsa and Zach have put down roots in New Jersey with their two sons, Jacob and Luke. Their household is bustling with their beloved dogs, a fluctuating number of cats, pocket pets, and aquatic animals.
