Dr. Laura Louise Leanza (Dr. LLL) originates from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, where her passion for animals began early while volunteering at local shelters.

Dr. Leanza earned her BS in Mathematics from Haverford College in Philadelphia before completing her veterinary education at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in New England.

Joining Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital in 2011, Dr. Leanza was ecstatic to return to her New Jersey roots. At OVH, Dr. Leanza practices "Family Medicine" with a focus on Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. As the Managing DVM, she is dedicated to enhancing the human-animal bond among clients, patients, and staff, while ensuring OVH maintains standards of compassionate excellence. She is also an advocate for microchipping, having experienced the joyous return of her cat Mookie Blette after a two-and-a-half-year absence.

Laura cherishes time with her children Bradley, Alden, and Daisy (a DAB of BAD), enjoying family hikes and practicing yoga.
